Danny T. Levin - Biography
 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Danny is a musician who plays trumpet, cornet, fluglehorn, valve trombone, euphonium, guitar and piano. He is also a singer/songwriter and composer/producer who runs a project studio called Mushroom Stamp Productions out of his apartment in Culver City. After graduating from UCLA with a BA in music composition in 2001, where he studied with great musicians like Kenny Burrell, Paul Chihara and Harold Land, Danny has been a continued presence in the Los Angeles music scene. Since then Danny has worked with a wide range of local, national and international artists including Rilo Kiley, Built To Spill, Mike Elizondo, Robin Thicke, Natasha Bedingfield, Joshua Radin, Lenka, The Elected, TOCA, American Music Club, The Spinto Band, Jenny Lewis and more.

Currently Danny makes music under the psuedonym Amanitas in addition to performing and recording with The Ventriloquists. He is also a member of the Double D Horns with woodwind ace David Moyer, who are the horn section for Babystone, The Reigning Monarchs, and The Whitebelts among others. Danny teaches music throughout the west LA area as well as composing music for film, television and internet videos.
