Danny T. Levin - Brass Recording Demo Reel 2010Here are some notes about my brass recording demo reel for 2010, which you can listen to by clicking on the play button above this text:
I am playing all of the brass instruments in all of these excerpts. This usually involves some combination of trumpet, cornet, flugelhorn, trombone, euphonium, alto horn, baritone horn and slide trumpet.
In all instances the arrangements were to some degree collaborative with the artists and producers. I have tried to indicate where arrangements were written by other musicians (ie I was given charts to read during the session and was only involved mildly in orchestration).
Please give it a listen and leave me feedback on the contact page if you are interested in booking me or the Double D Horns for work.

Amanitas - Maybe I WillThis is a song I wrote and recorded recently at the MSP Studio. The instrumentation is Roland Juno 60, flugelhorn, electric guitar, vocals and some mangled drum machine. I will try and update this page with the latest version of this song if I end up doing any more work on it and/or if the Ventriloquists get a hold of it.
Lyrics:
Think not of me lightly, I can light up your mind, over and over 'til the fire makes you blind. Make plans with me, follow your heart, I'm just a shortcut you'll find something better one of these times. I really don't mind. We're cycling clockwork, syncronized for the kill, and if my disguise doesn't scare you well then maybe I will. Your eyes don't deceive you, this glass was built to spill, so why do you keep filling it up, even still?
